Game Time

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”

Matthew 28:19

This verse is known as the GREAT COMMISSION and is fundamental to all of those who claim the name of JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOR! In other words, it is not “Let’s Make a Deal” (thank you Monte Hall). We as followers of JESUS are “called” to disciple and to make disciples, regardless of our gifting or our circumstances. It would be so easy to ignore this call especially in a time of global pandemic while we are being told to isolate. People’s lives are being devastated every day and they are desperately searching for hope! WE HAVE HOPE IN JESUS! Discipleship is defined as mentoring or walking with someone. It can be challenging but a simple phone call, text message, or even an encouraging note can make a huge difference.

Another form of discipleship is living and loving as JESUS did. Just by loving others we will open doors that we never imagined would be open.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

John 13:34-35

If this sounds like a pre-game pep talk – IT IS!! We all need to step up our game because the enemy is not taking a COVID break! ALMIGHTY GOD IS THE MASTER COACH AND IT IS GAME TIME!!
